Smartphone Infinix Note 10 Pro

Xiaomi at one time “turned over” the smartphone market by offering gadgets with advanced features at bargain prices. More recently, Realme followed suit, which in a short time managed to break into the tops of sales, and now, it seems, the time has come for a new manufacturer.

The Infinix Note 10 Pro turned out to be good in literally everything: a huge 90 Hz screen, high performance, a large battery, stereo speakers, excellent cameras, software “chips”, and all this at a budget price. But let’s not be unfounded, but we will analyze the features of the novelty in more detail.

The package will please anyone.

The smartphone comes in a bright green box, and the equipment will please any user: a protective case, a 33 W charger, a SIM clip, a set of documentation and even a protective glass. The latter, however, will have to be glued on your own. In Russia, the gadget is sold in two colors – black and pink-blue.

Lies securely in the hand

Although there are practically no compact smartphones in the modern world, the Infinix Note 10 Pro stands out even against their background: 173 × 78 mm and a weight of 208 g. The thickness is 7.8 mm, not counting the camera module protruding from the case by more than 2.5 mm. However, the phablet cannot be called uncomfortable – it lies securely in the hand, it is easy to reach all the controls, and access to the notification curtain can be obtained by simply swiping down in the center of the screen.

The body is completely made of glossy plastic, which collects dust and fingerprints well. The bottom half of the back cover has been textured to create a beautiful dispersion effect when light hits it.

At a cursory glance, it seems that there are as many as six lenses on the island on the back, but in fact there are four of them, and the remaining two are an advanced quadruple flash and a “trick” for symmetry.

On the right are the volume rocker and the power key with a built-in fingerprint scanner – the best solution, in my opinion, besides, the sensor is triggered instantly. Complements the security system face unlock, which also works flawlessly.

On the left edge there is a three-slot card tray (2 SIM + microSD), below – a speaker, a microphone, a USB Type-C connector, and even a mini jack is not forgotten. There is no IP certificate here, but given that there is a rubber insert in the tray, and heavy rain did not affect the performance of the device in any way, we can assume that there is still some protection against water.

Most of the front panel is occupied by a huge screen with slightly rounded edges and small frames. In the center at the top is a neat round cutout for the front camera, earpiece, as well as proximity and light sensors. On the right is a full-fledged frontal flash, which I have not seen in smartphones for a long time.

Huge 6.95 inch screen

The main pride of the Infinix Note 10 Pro is a huge 6.95-inch screen with a resolution of 2460 × 1080 (aspect ratio of 20.5: 9 and a dot density of 387 ppi). There are no pixelation issues. An IPS-matrix with a refresh rate of up to 90 Hz is used (there is an adaptive mode in the settings). Supports recognition of up to 5 simultaneous touches with a polling rate of 180 Hz. There is an option that allows you to reduce the sensitivity of the sensor so that there are no accidental clicks in your pocket.

Auto brightness adjustment occurs in the range from 5 to 450 nits, the screen contrast is 1350:1. This is quite enough for him to remain readable in the sun. Blue color filtering is supported, for which the display has received TÜV Rheinland certification. The color gamut here is wider than the base sRGB, the color temperature is somewhat high (8500-9500K), the shades do not seem sated, there is support for HDR10. Unfortunately, manual color adjustment is not provided here. Viewing angles are good, although there is some slight fading when tilted. The top of the screen is covered with a protective glass with a good oleophobic coating.

All games run smoothly on high settings.

The heart of the smartphone is one of the flagship MediaTek processors – Helio G95 with two Cortex-A76 cores, eight Cortex-A55 and Mali-G76 MC4 graphics. The phone has 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and a main memory of 128 GB (UFS 2.2), expandable via microSD or a flash drive connected via USB OTG technology.

AnTuTu test gives more than 350,000 points. Almost all games run smoothly on high or ultra settings, which is facilitated by a special game mode. During operation, the smartphone heats up slightly. There is throttling (20%), but in real operation there is no performance degradation.

The smartphone works in 2G, 3G and 4G networks with support for high-speed data transfer technology LTE Cat.12.  Do not forget about the classic FM radio, navigation module (works with all major systems) and an electronic compass. Separately, it is worth mentioning that a model with an NFC chip is supplied specifically for Russia.

The speakers are able to work in stereo mode, providing loud and high-quality sound, an intelligent DTS audio processing system and an equalizer are provided. This is not what you expect from a budget smartphone. Playing and watching videos on a big screen with a good audio system is a pleasure.

The quality of the photo is not inferior to the market leaders

The Infinix Note 10 Pro managed to surprise me with its photo and video capabilities. The main camera has a 64 MP Quad Bayer sensor, an f/1.9 lens with phase detection autofocus, and is also equipped with artificial intelligence algorithms. With sufficient lighting, the quality of the photo is not inferior to the market leaders, demonstrating good detail and color reproduction, in difficult conditions it, of course, falls, but not much. For shooting at night, a special mode is provided.
