New Delhi: Telecom company Bharti Airtel has announced its low-income customers. The company said on Sunday that it would give a recharge pack of Rs 49 free to its 55 million low-income customers to help them stay connected to each other during the epidemic.
The telecom company said that this Rs 270 crore scheme will help low-income customers to cope with the impact of Kovid-19. Apart from this, customers who buy a recharge coupon of Rs 79 will now get double benefit. The telecom operator said that this Rs 270 crore scheme also included a credit of Rs 49 plan for 5.5 crore low income group customers.
28 days validity in pack and talk time of Rs 38
The company said in a statement that “Airtel will provide a pack of Rs 49 free as a one-time help to 5.5 crore more low-income customers. This pack provides talk time of Rs 38 and 100 MB data with a validity of 28 days. The company indicated that most of its customers were in rural areas. “
The company said that in the coming week, it will be beneficial for Airtel prepaid customers and they will be connected to the network. They will be able to get important information related to Kovid-19 if needed.
Vaccination slots can also be booked through the Airtel Thanks App
Earlier, the company had also started a series of Kovid Support Initiative for customers. With this, the company joined the list who introduced digital tools to help people amidst the second wave of epidemic. The company said in a statement, Kovid Support Resources and related information have been integrated into the Explore section of the Airtel Thanks App to make it easier to access.
