According to a report by Digitimes, two companies named Enostar and Taiwan Asia Semiconductor (TAS) are working on such components, which can be used in many types of biosensing. One of these can measure the level of glucose in the blood.

Similar predictions were made for Watch Series-7 as well, but such features were not found in it. A patent was filed by Apple in 2018, after which it was also speculated that Apple may soon feature blood glucose monitoring in its Watch series, but this did not prove to be true. Such a feature has not come in any watch so far.
