How to make every wish come true in 2022: the best techniques to change your life

It was the IT market that not only did not stagger over the years of the pandemic, but, on the contrary, succeeded. This became possible due to the flexibility and specificity of information products. Since almost the whole world has switched to a remote location, the corresponding services have appeared and support for the old ones has resumed.

Semifinals of the battle of programming languages 2021

Thus, Gartner analysts predict an increase in the IT market by 8.6% in the coming year, while world GDP will grow by 4.9%. Let’s take a closer look at IT development trends in 2022 from the point of view of analytical companies.

IDC

IDC analysts expect that in 2022 more than 50% of the global economy will be affected to some extent by information technology.  Probably, by 2024, more than half of IT investments will be directed to digital transformation.

And here are the main trends in IT development in 2022 according to IDC:

An accelerated transition to the cloud. About 80% of businesses will begin the transition to cloud infrastructure in half the time they did before the pandemic.
Updated “clouds”. The most important challenge will be to protect and optimize cloud resources with a focus on business results. In addition, demand for AI-enabled cloud services will grow. But since there are not so many qualified specialists in this area, it will not be possible to get the desired results immediately and not for everyone – about 70% of companies will fail.

Artificial Intelligence. IDC expects that by the end of 2022, a quarter of Forbes Global 2000 companies will buy at least one AI startup.
This will become a priority for digital leaders, and will increase data costs.

Ecology. Eco-events are becoming an integral part of the IT industry. Therefore, one of the trends in the development of information technology in 2022 will be the reduction of energy costs and the reuse of IT equipment.
Problems with combining office and telecommuting. The activities aimed at this and the automation of a number of processes will fail due to a lack of funds to form teams with the necessary skills. The solution will be crowdsourcing and retraining.

Gartner

Another analyst firm Gartner predicts that the hyper-automation market will reach $ 596.6 billion in 2022. This is 115 billion more than in 2020 and 64.2 billion more than this one.

Note Hyper-automation is large-scale process automation using artificial intelligence, low cost development platforms (LCAP), and robotic process automation (RPA).

Let’s take a look at the top IT trends in 2022 according to Gartner:

Data factories (Data Fabric). It is an architecture for flexible and resilient data integration between business users and platforms. The demand for Data Fabric has grown and will continue to grow as the number of silos has grown, but there are no more analysts and other data scientists.
Confidentiality Enhancing Computing (PEC). Gartner expects that over the next three years, more than half of large companies will start using methods of such calculations. PEC is based on three main technologies for data protection:
– providing a reliable environment where data analysis and processing are performed;

– decentralized analysis and processing;
– data encryption before analysis and processing.
Cloud platforms. In 2021, only 40% of digital initiatives are cloud-based. By 2025, this figure will rise to 95%.
Artificial Intelligence. Gartner, like IDC, is of the opinion that this is the era of AI. In the coming year, the development of more effective tools in this area is forecasted. And by 2025, 10% of companies implementing advanced AI solutions will earn 3 times more from this than those enterprises that will remain with old solutions.

Geographically distributed enterprises. With the proliferation of remote work, exclusively office enterprises are turning into distributed ones – those in which geographically dispersed employees work. About 75% of companies that switch to this model will accelerate revenue growth by 25% by 2023.
Autonomous systems. These are systems that are able to change their algorithms themselves without external updates. They will soon become the norm and will be ubiquitous in drones, robots, and various production machines.

TransForce

Analyst firm TransForce also named a number of IT development trends that should be expected in 2022. Unlike the predecessors from this article, TransForce specialists have specified technologies that will step forward.

The site even provides a laconic visualization of forecasts:

Displays micro-LED and mini-LED. Analysts are confident that some of the problems with the development of these displays will persist in 2022, and the production itself will be costly. But work in this direction will continue.
AMOLED and cameras under the display. But these technologies will make a real revolution in the world of smartphones. The designs are expected to continue to be foldable,  Samsung is predicted to switch to GAA transistors while TSMC will continue to use Finest.

Mass production of DDR5 memory. In response to 5G smartphones, Samsung, SK Hynix and Micron will start mass-producing next-generation DDR5 and increase LPDDR5 penetration.
5G. Mobile carriers will launch significantly more test projects in the coming year to segment standalone 5G networks and low-latency applications.
Satellite connection.
Digital Manufacturing. Analysts are confident that IoT technologies will become the main metaverse.  The integration of additional sensors and AI algorithms will allow AR and VR equipment manufacturers to experiment with total immersion.
Automated car parking. This is a completely logical continuation of drones with autonomous driving technology. Most likely, automated parking will become the most valuable feature in such cars in 2022, and manufacturers will not ignore the emerging trend.
New semiconductor technologies. The demand for the elemental base for electric cars is growing, which means the 3rd generation semiconductor industry will begin to develop towards new packaging technologies and the introduction of 200 mm SiC and GaN wafers.
