Micromax is making a comeback in the Indian smartphone market with the Note 1 and In1B smartphones. Upon reviewing the Note 1, I noticed that it offered good explanations, but when it comes to software, it was a bit rough around the edges. As I move towards the new Micromax In 1b, two new models launched by the Indian smartphone company become more affordable, I have a few questions in mind. Has Micromax cut corners to get aggressive pricing in 1B?  Will we find ourselves repeating the same story? Let us know in our Micromax In 1b review.

Micromax In 1b design

Micromax In 1b looks good, but the design reminds me of my nearest competitor Realm 11 . The B has a 6.52-inch display with a peak at the top. The 20: 9 display aspect ratio makes this phone long and narrow. Holding it is not a problem but you will not be able to easily reach the top of the display.

The power and volume buttons are on the right, and when I was able to place the power button properly, the volume buttons were too high. Micromax runs on Micromax In 1b with a 3.5mm audio jack with a USB Type-C port and a basic microphone below.

About 75% of the panel structure is finished, while the rest is simple. You got a fingerprint scanner on the back of the 1b, but I found it too high to my liking. I stopped killing it most of the time and you had to lengthen it to get there. There is a dual camera module which is almost flush with the rear panel. I had a purple unit in 1 1B, but you can also get this phone in green and blue. The bottom is the loudspeaker.

Micromax In 1b description

Micromax has chosen MediaTek Helio G35 to bring power to 1b. There are two types of these 1Bs. The base variant has 2 GB RAM and 32 GB storage, while the higher one has 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage. He paid Rs. 6,999 and Rs. 7,999 respectively, and I reviewed later. You get HD + resolution which is acceptable for the price. The display has good viewing angles, but when you go out, it is not very spectacular.

Micromax In 1b

Like Micromax In 1b Note 1 , the stock runs Android 10. There is no pre-installed bill on the software app, which is a good start. You can also enable notification shadow drag by swiping down on the fingerprint scanner.

Micromax In 1b display

I did not expect much from Micromax In 1b seeing the price, but I could not find any reason to complain during the week. The performance was good and I didn’t have to wait too long for the phone to load the app. Multi-tasking was not a problem either, and apps could be kept in memory without the need to reload the 4GB RAM version of the phone I was testing.

The fingerprint scanner is a long dull one, and its position makes it difficult to unlock the phone at once. I found the display decent enough to watch video, but a back-firing speaker can be found very easily. Micromax In 1b managed to score 108,534 in two PCs and 5,514 in PC Markworks 2.0. He scored 167 points and 945 points in Jake Bench 5’s single-core and multi-core tests respectively. Graphics Benchmark GFX Bench’s T-Rex and Manhattan 3.1 Test, B1 can handle 27 fps and 13 fps respectively.

Call of Duty test

I played Call of Duty Mobile on 1B, and it took a relatively long time to load. I hesitated during gameplay, and the device overheated under load. After playing for 17 minutes, I noticed that the battery level decreased by 5%.

Micromax In 1b camera

You get dual camera setup at 1b. 13-megapixel primary camera and 2-megapixel depth sensor. For the selfie you get an 8 megapixel shooter. The camera application is very basic, just as Note 1 has some tweets. You’ll get faster toggles on HDR as well as AI. I haven’t tried the fastest, but it makes little difference in production.

Photos taken with Micromax In 1b were decent in daylight and looked good at first. Once I promoted the shots, however, I noticed that they lacked detail. When shooting against light, you need to manually enable HDR as the phone does not do this automatically.
Close-up shots were below average Portrait mode lets you mimic a blur in a background and determine its intensity before taking a shot.

Micromax In 1b

The selfie camera took good pictures, and you have the option of taking selfie portraits. In daylight, the front-facing camera was able to detect a nice edge, but low-light shots were not that sharp.

Video recording is top notch in 1080p for primary as well as selfie cameras. In broad daylight as well as in low light, the footage caused quite a stir.

Final opinion

For the casual user, it is easy to recommend because it offers a better price.
