WhatsApp is impossible without a smartphone, no? Yes, you can now access your WhatsApp on all devices including web or desktop. Announced in July, WhatsApp finally released an update after months of beta testing that allows you to open WhatsApp Messenger on any device without having your smartphone connected to the Internet at all times.

This new feature of Meta (Facebook) owned WhatsApp can be accessed on PC or WhatsApp Web without your smartphone. However, only four devices can be connected to the platform at the same time.
How to use WhatsApp on non-smartphone devices
To log in to your WhatsApp Messenger, you’ll first need to open the app on your smartphone, and tap on the three-dots in the top right corner of your WhatsApp homepage.
Then click on “Linked Devices” and select “Link A Device” inside it. It will ask you to scan a QR code from the web version of WhatsApp – web.whatsapp.com. If you haven’t joined the ‘Multi-Device Meta’ version, you’ll need to join it first. Then proceed to link the device and then scan the QR code. Once logged in, you can still use WhatsApp on other devices even if your primary device, mobile is turned off.
However users need to note here that once you select the option of multi-device meta version, a message will pop up mentioning that all the previously connected devices will be unlinked. This means that you will have to re-link your other devices.
Once you’ve linked it, you can use your WhatsApp on the web or desktop without having to connect your smartphone to the net all the time. After this feature, each of your devices will now have its own unique ID, and they will all be linked to your server account. However, this feature is not available for all users as of now and will have to wait a bit for the main release.
