A user on social media has claimed that his OnePlus Nord 2 smartphone has exploded. The user told that during the work he felt something hot in his pocket and on checking it came to know that smoke was coming out of the phone. After which he took off his coat and threw it. On the other hand, OnePlus asked the user for the phone to find out the reasons for the explosion, which the user refused to give.
‘Explosion during work’
In fact, a user named Gaurav Gulati recently wrote on Twitter that this incident happened in his office while he was working and it has caused him a deep shock. Gulati wrote, “I am burnt and having trouble breathing due to the toxic fumes of the blast.” He said, “Right now I am in shock and am getting treatment as per advice and will inform media channels about this phone explosion very soon. If you also have this mobile then you all should be safe.” He also claimed that his hearing and vision have also been affected due to the alleged incident.
‘Test cannot be given without compensation’
On the other hand, according to OnePlus, the company takes every such claim very seriously for the safety of the users. A OnePlus spokesperson told IANS, “A few days ago, a person informed us about an alleged explosion case for the OnePlus Nord 2 on Twitter and our team immediately reached out to this person to ascertain the veracity of the claim.” The spokesperson said, “However, despite several attempts to test the device, visit the premises to check it in the presence of the person, the user has not yet given us the phone for test. Find out about it, we cannot give any kind of compensation.”
Blast claimed earlier
It is worth noting that last month also another user had claimed the OnePlus Nord 2 exploded in his tweet and later the post was deleted without uploading any picture of the device that allegedly exploded. The company later denied the claim, saying that an investigation revealed that the case was false and that no OnePlus products were involved.
