Snapchat is introducing its new set of AR lenses, cameos, stickers, games and Bitmoji to celebrate Diwali, the festival of light.
According to the company, when sending wishes and greetings using Snapchat’s AR-powered lens, the screen will glow with firecracker-type animation. Snapchat users will also get to experience a custom Diwali design for the Snap Map that features lanterns and firecrackers.

“At Snap, we are focused on further enhancing the app experience for our Snapchatter community in India. Last year, Indian Snapchatters clocked over 430 million views of the Diwali AR experience and this year we’ve introduced many exciting creative tools to engage with our community.”

The company is also launching a new Bitmoji based on popular Diwali dishes along with custom Hindi Bitmoji stickers. Snapchatters will get access to hyperlocal geo-filters across 20 cities in India to celebrate Diwali in local neighbourhoods, popular shopping streets, landmark locations, etc.

Apart from this, SnapChat has also introduced exclusive lenses to celebrate all the five days of Diwali including Bhai Dooj, Govardhan Puja, Dhanteras and Choti Diwali. Snapchat users will also be able to access the Diwali-themed version of the very popular cartoon lens.
