vivo v15

vivo v15 review, price, Desgin, camera, Performance and PUBG Testing

Display

The gradual color looks great, but in a short time, it will be covered with fingerprints and smoke. Vivo has given a case in the box for basic protection. For all users, the space for the volume button (power button on the top right) is not that big – ideally, the phone and volume should be on the opposite side of the phone. On the left side is an additional hardware button Smart Button – it is ready to launch Google Assistant by default but you can customize it in settings (customizations are currently very limited).

It is the cheapest smartphone with ultra full view screen. Although the more expensive V15 Pro has a 6.39-inch screen, the V15 has a larger 6.53-inch display. We think it would be great if Vivo added a super AMOLED panel like the Pro 15. It is still very good, but it is an IPS LCD. Also, thanks to the high brightness, rich colors and sleek bezels, the screen is a pleasure to use. The major disappointment with the V15 is that it does not support the Wide Vine L1, which means that you cannot play HD content from different OTT players. What’s good if you can’t enjoy streaming HD content?

Apart from the beautiful display in the smartphone, there is also a motor pop-up camera. In low light, faces the detail but selfies are still sluggish to use on social media. That’s enough. When shooting in portrait mode, the camera provides good effects, but we also noticed that the photo is very sharp.

The camera

You still get the triple rear camera setup on vivo v15, but instead of the primary 48MP sensor on the V15 Pro, it has a 24MP f1.8 sensor with dual pixel phase detection autofocus. The other two sensors are the same: 8MP ultraviolet and 5MP depth sensor. You get various shooting modes including AI Beauty, AR Sticker, Night Mode and a Pro Mode. The photos provide vibrant colors with good details in daylight. In low light, photos look good on the screen, but you will see damage in close inspection and detail on noise. Video recording is only available up to 1080p which is disappointing as the phone offers 4K video recording at half the cost. Also, you cannot switch between primary and wide-angle lenses during video recording – you have to pause the recording, switch to wide-angle and then start over.

vivo v15

This setting is great for daytime use as well as basic gaming. PUBG runs on moderate graphics but the game had random look frame drops. The good thing is that the P70 does not suffer from overheating and provides excellent battery life. We have regular full day battery life with 20-25% battery left.

As a carved version of the V15 Pro, vivo v15 offers standout features to its older brother but with some severed corners. If you can afford a little extra for the V15 Pro or check out the Oppo F11 Pro that will give you a motorized front camera with 48MP + 5MP dual rear camera and no scratches. The display will be available for Rs 24,990.

Performance and PUBG Testing

In terms of gaming performance, light games like Temple Run and Crucible Chicken play well. But, when it comes to heavy games like Asphalt 9: Legends and PUBG (PlayerUn Science Battlegrounds) mobile, the story is a bit different. I first tried to play both games in higher order, and the drop and ejection of the frame were obvious. When I played the games in their intermediate graphic setting, there was no major break.

Under good lighting conditions, the device managed to capture a lot of detail in the shot. It slightly reduced colors like orange and red pop, however, it did not look ugly or more serious. Instead, it affected his eyes slightly.

The device comes with many camera features such as scanning mode, pro mode, scene selection, portrait lighting effects, HDR and more. In the case of portrait shots, the device was able to capture the subject correctly, while edge detection was close. The device also provides users with the ability to apply direct lighting effects to portrait images so they can pop out more.

Final opinion

vivo v15 is a mid-range smartphone that offers many interesting features to its users such as full screen display and motor pop-up selfie camera. During the review period, I was impressed by the device’s many features while being denied by others at the same time.

vivo v15

The Vivo design works well with the overall performance of the device, camera and battery usage, all of which were positive. However, the gaming performance of the device can be improved and the low light performance of the camera should be desired especially at this price. Although vivo v15 packs a lot of features, there are other great smartphones that can be considered Nokia 8.1, Poxo F1 and Oppo F11 Pro or at a slightly higher price.
