The company did this chat migration feature during the Galaxy Unpacked event last month. But at that time this feature was released only for foldable phones.
At the same time, now this chat migration feature has been made available in many Samsung phones. Using this new feature, users can transfer their account information, profile photos, personal chats, group chats, old chats, media and settings from iPhone to Samsung smartphones. WhatsApp said that users will not be able to transfer their call logs and visible names.
For now, the new feature will work in Samsung’s mobile
The company has announced the WhatsApp Chat Migration feature through a blog post. This new feature of the company is working in version 3.7.22.1 or higher of Samsung’s Tswitch app and Android 10 or above. The company has also told that very soon this feature will be made available for other Android smartphones.
Apart from this, iPhone should have WhatsApp iOS version 2.21.160.17 or newer and new Samsung phones should have WhatsApp Android version 2.21.16.20 or newer. The new device must have Samsung SmartSwitch app version 3.7.22.1 or newer installed.
How to migrate your chats
First of all connect your Samsung phone to iPhone with USB Type-C to Linetning cable.
Follow Samsung Smart Switch steps for setup.
After the notification appears, scan the QR code visible on the new Samsung phone with the iPhone camera.
Tap on Start on iPhone and wait.

On the home screen, start WhatsApp and log in with the old phone number.
After that tap on import and let the process complete properly.
When the activation of the new phone is complete, you will see your chats.
Your data will be preserved in the old iPhone until you delete the app or delete the chat.
